Helena Wilde RCST® MSc
Helena is a registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, RCST®, living and practicing in Calgary, Alberta. A master’s in medical science provided her with a wonderful background to augment her understanding of the human body. As well, Helena is deeply grateful for the five years spent as a palliative volunteer where she learned the power of presence and how to connect to her most embodied and grounded self.

I tested for a condition called Lupus and RF. I had vertigo, and was experienceing severe bouts of anxiety and depression. I committed to CST 2x a week for 3 months, and have experienced such profound shifts in both my physical and mental health! The doctors are shocked by my bloodwork...I am no longer positive for RF and there's no lupus anticoagulant. I've spent years seeing urologists, and for the first time in ages I've been sleeping through the night without getting up. I no longer feel like I'm stuck in flight or fight. I feel embodied, and connected to myself instead of at war with my symptoms. Helena is SO kind and intuitive, and she is gentle in words and presence and touch.

I am so grateful to the medical staff who performed a rare surgery on an even rarer cancer (for me). I was on life support without a heartbeat for 7 minutes recently. On the other side of this experience, I'm leaning into a phase of deep rest and healing. I appreciate Helena so much as a figure in my healing journey. She offers many gentle reminders about the fact that healing is a process, and it will take a while to fully recover after my experience. She tells me to stop trying so hard to get back to my normal pace, and encourages me to embrace where I am at this moment. I also appreciate her background in medical science because she has wisdom about how our bodies work.

Helena has helped my body function better: I have greater access to movement and flexibility in my knees, and IT band. It's incredible really, I feel more limber overall, and am experiencing less pain...it's almost as if I've aged in the reverse! This is also one hour per week that I can fully let go and relax. As a teacher this space is invaluable, because my work environment (outer and inner!) can get so noisy, overwhelming and full. This space and intentionally crafted containment is such a gift! Helena's deep presence is instantly calming, reminding me that there is nowhere else to be right now.

CST with Helena has been a critical part of healing for my injured foot and residual back pain. My body feels relaxed and I have so much less pain!

Helena is truly an alchemist of light. Guided by her exceptional intuition, she finds all of the dark spaces in my body that store trauma such as trapped emotions, stress, unhealthy beliefs, and fears. She then gently and easily transforms them into light. She does this with the utmost of kindness, compassion, brilliance, and care. She really is a rare and precious gift in the realm of natural medicine.

I was suffering from daily abdominal neuropathy through my torso for months following a surgery. I fell asleep during my session with Helena and when I woke up my nerve pain was gone. It has not returned since. I was surprised and endlessly grateful.

Acknowledgment and Gratitude from the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America and Milne Institute:
Craniosacral work comes out of osteopathy. Osteopathy comes out of bonesetting, and bonesetting was practiced by original peoples going back 130,000 years. The origins of Craniosacral Therapy go back to the influence and impact that bodywork, developed by Indigenous Peoples, had on Osteopathy. Understanding the transmission and evolution of our work requires naming and honouring our origins, which for Osteopathy and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, are the Lumbee and the Shawnee people.
